Use

The gauge, the board card and the chooser are free to use, personally or
professionally, without an account and without asking. The conventions belong to the
trade; the card, the gauge and the writing are this site’s.

Accuracy

The charts are verified as described on the About page, and they remain conventions:
categories shift between makers, and the gauge refuses outside the range both readings
agreed on. Corrections through the contact page are applied to the chart, which fixes
the gauge at once.

No warranty

The site is tested and it is still software. With JavaScript off the notes below the
gauge carry the same conventions by hand. Nothing here is instruction, avalanche or
safety advice – lessons and local knowledge are their own department.
