Snowline ski and board lengths, read honestly

About Snowline

A length gauge built from two independent readings of the conventional ski and snowboard charts - kept where they agreed, capped where they did not.

Where the gauge comes from

Two authors filled the same grids blind: ski lengths by height and ability, snowboard
lengths by height, and the standard adjustments for weight and style. The gauge carries
only the intersections – the part of every band both readings stood behind. On snowboards
above roughly 170 cm of rider the two readings genuinely parted (real charts compress
there and weight takes over), so the gauge stops and says so instead of extrapolating.
That refusal is the most honest number on the site.

What a band is – and is not

A chart band is the starting length you walk into a shop with. Ability, weight and
style move it, exactly as the notes under the gauge describe, and boots, bindings and a
fitter outrank all of it.

What using it costs you

Nothing: no account, no tracking. The gauge reads entirely in your browser and your
measurements never leave the page.
